Meet Ella, from our Jazz litter. She and her siblings were originally rescued as feral kittens, living alone outside. When they first came to us they were scared of people and didn’t really know how to interact. Their dedicated foster family has been working very hard to get them socialized and they are making wonderful progress, so it’s now time to find their forever homes.
Ella is a beautiful kitten with a gentle, slightly-shy side. She loves being petted and once she’s comfortable, she will happily ask for more with her sweet little paws. She enjoys romping around with her siblings when the time is right, but also treasures her “me time,” making her the perfect blend of playful and independent. She’s happy for a treat, easy to love, and never demanding. As Ella Fitzgerald sang, “It isn’t where you came from, it’s where you’re going that counts.” Ella seems to know that her future is bright — and she can’t wait to find her forever home.
These kittens are sweet with the people they have learned to trust, but it will take them a little while to warm up in a new environment and with new people. It will be best for them to go to homes where there is already a friendly cat to help show them the ropes, or where they can be adopted in pairs so that they have a buddy. They are currently being fostered in a home with older children and have slowly been getting used to them. Their ideal home will be with adults or older kids, but they may do ok with kids under 10y if they are calm and cat savvy. The kittens are still learning about dogs and don’t have much exposure to them yet.
