We are very proud and excited to be participating in United Hearts Animal Society's Project Purr: Kitten Rescue on Sunday, August 16th. Please help spread the word by sharing their Facebook Event posting at https://www.facebook.com/events/893039137419193/.

Event Info:

If you have an unexpected or unwanted litter of kittens on the way, or if you have found some kittens and you’re not sure what to do, we can help!

United Hearts Animal Society is working together with local rescue groups to ensure that each cat & kitten in need of a home this year finds one. We are hosting 3 events this summer where unwanted, unexpected, or stray kittens, pregnant cats, and nursing queens with their litters, can be dropped off without fees or judgement.

The cats & kittens will go into the care of some wonderful local rescue groups: Victoria Pet Adoption Society, Greater Victoria Animal Crusaders, and Dee's Orphan Kitten Fund. They will ensure that each pet is vet checked, treated for fleas & worms, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, & adopted into a great home.

The cat the kittens in the event cover photo were found in a cardboard box on the steps of a church on a cold winter night. They were left in an area where caring people found them quite quickly so most of the kittens survived, but only being hours old when they were found, a few had already succumbed to the low temperatures.

Let's prevent another similar situation. Please help spread the word and share this event with your friends and family. Let them know there are judgement-free options if they have or find kittens that they cannot properly care for. We are here to help!
