Cat Beds Wanted

Cat Beds Wanted

Kuranda, makers of comfortable and durable pet beds, have just come out with a new Cat Bed. The cat beds provide orthopedic comfort for cats and are raised a level to provide kitties the opportunity to jump up and view the world from their raised perches. These beds provide the opportunity for a cat in a kennel to have more "floor" space because the platform can be put above a food dish or litterbox that would have otherwise taken up space in the kennel. Or, when more than cat shares a kennel it allows for extra space.

Fundraiser & Bottle Drive Successful!

Jaz Hotdog2.jpg

VPAS would like to thank all of the volunteers who helped at our hotdog fundraiser, as well as Walmart for hosting it and Tru-Value Foods for supplying the foo through their Community Spirit program. We would also like to thank everyone who purchased a hotdog or drink to support Litter Critters Orphanage and all of those who donated bottles and cans to our bottle drive. Together we are making a difference. Thank You!

Our Spring Raffle Has Come to a Close

Our Spring Raffle Has Come to a Close

Our 2009 spring raffle has come to a close and we raised a few hundred dollars to provide medical care to homeless pets. Tickets will be drawn during the first week of July and all winners will be contacted to collect their prizes. Thank you to everyone who sold or purchased tickets, and a huge thank you to all of the people and businesses that donated prizes to make this raffle possible. Fundraisers such as this would not be possible without your support.

Marley Update

Marley Update

Marley is a young Pit Bull X who came into VPAS' care after being abandoned at the vet with horrific injuries to his head and to one of his hind legs (graphic photos attached below.) He spent over 3 months in the vet hospital recovering from his ordeal, and while he has not been adopted yet, Marley is still one of VPAS' great success stories. He is currently in foster care through Respect-A-Bull Pit Bull Rescue and is enjoying every minute of his new life. New photos of Marley and his foster family are attached below.

Thank You Josh and Triumph

Thank You Josh and Triumph

Everyone at VPAS would like to thank Josh and his kitty Triumph (adopted from VPAS in 2008) for their wonderful donation of loonies and toonies. Josh raised $43 to help the animals in our adoption program find new homes. Thank you Josh and Triumph!
