Adult Cats Looking For Homes

Adult Cats Looking For Homes

Summer is a very exciting time for those interested in adopting a new feline friend because there are a lot of adorable little kittens looking for homes to choose from. Sadly, "kitten season" is a difficult time for adult cats (even those as young as 1-2 years old) to find homes. It is not hard for a bouncing, meowing kitten to quickly over-shadow the quiet adult cats when adopters come to look at them. If you plan to adopt a new kitty companion this summer please consider an adult cat; you will not only save a deserving life but we're sure you'll find a great new friend.

Thanks To Blanket Fund For Island Animals

Thank you to Blanket Fund for Island Animals for your generous donation to help our pets in need. BFIA's donation has helped to purchase insulin for our new diabetic cat Pookie, a special shampoo for one of our kittens with ringworm, and 3 different types of medication for Neo & Morpheus who have kitty colds and 2 different types of intestinal parasites. Thanks BFIA for your support!

Thank you to J & D who made a very generous donation to help Rosie the puppy feel better, and to Nadia who also made a donation to help Rosie. Their donations will help to cover the cost of Rosie's urgently needed blood transfusion. Thank you, from Roise and all of the VPAS volunteers.

Cat Beds Wanted

Cat Beds Wanted

Kuranda, makers of comfortable and durable pet beds, have just come out with a new Cat Bed. The cat beds provide orthopedic comfort for cats and are raised a level to provide kitties the opportunity to jump up and view the world from their raised perches. These beds provide the opportunity for a cat in a kennel to have more "floor" space because the platform can be put above a food dish or litterbox that would have otherwise taken up space in the kennel. Or, when more than cat shares a kennel it allows for extra space.
