This kitty is 8 month old Bolt and he desperately needs your help. He was recently diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis. In the past, FIP has always been a death sentence, however, there is a new experimental treatment that has had a very good success rate so far (greater than 95%) and we want to try it for Bolt. Unfortunately, the medication that Bolt needs to save his life is very expensive but we are determined to give him a chance at a good life. We are also hoping that if Bolt fully recovers, he can help in the fight to bring the treatment to market so that it’s more readily available (and cheaper) to help other cats in the future.
The cost for the medication that Bolt needs, his special care, and veterinary follow up will be approximately $5000. If you are in a position to help Bolt, any donations would be very much appreciated. Donations of $20 or more are eligible for a tax receipt (upon request.) If you know someone who has lost a cat to FIP, donating to Bolt’s cause in that pet’s name would be a wonderful memorial/legacy for that beloved pet.
There are several ways that you can help Bolt. Donations can be made on our Facebook page via the donation link, via PayPal, e-transfers, or check. Please visit our donation page at http://victoriapets.ca/donation/ for details about each donation method.
Thank you, from Bolt and the entire VPAS Team
