Meet Missy. This lovely girl is looking for a special home where she can be herself and flourish on her own time. Missy came from a hoarding situation and when she first arrived she was heavily pregnant and traumatized. We don’t know much about this girl’s past but she is extremely head shy and nervous about being touched. She is curious and likes to be around but she doesn’t want to be pet. Despite Missy being uncomfortable around people, she really likes other cats. Her ideal home will be where her ‘job/purpose’ is to be friends with other cats and not to be snuggly or affectionate with people. Missy likes to play with the other cats in her foster home and enjoys sitting on top of the armoire or scratching post and watching the world go by. She is picky about her food but really likes Royal Canin kibble, so hopefully her new family is able to feed her that.
Missy is in foster care right now with 3 other cats that she is friends with. If you don’t have other cats in your home, Missy would be happy to be adopted along with any of her 3 friends, but if you do already have other cats, Missy would love to be their friend. Missy is still young (about 1yr) so we hope that in time she will learn to trust and will settle down enough to allow her new family to pet her, but as of right now she’s pretty uncomfortable with being handled.
Visit www.victoriapets.ca for adoption information and our application. Please note that due to increasing numbers of COVID-19 in our province, in an effort to minimize risk to our foster homes and discourage non-essential travel, we will only be considering adoptions on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands at this time.
