Foster A Lonely Pet For The Holidays

As of December 14th, VPAS has 6 cats, 9 kittens, and 2 bunnies that are in need of foster care. Although we do our best to make each pet as comfortable as possible while he or she waits for a forever home, our adoption centre is not a substitute for a real home. It breaks our hearts to think of any of these animals having to spend the holidays in a kennel; we'd much rather see them in a home where they can relax and enjoy this special time of year.

Santa Paws Anonymous

VPAS is hosting Santa Paws Anonymous at Our Place to help needy pets & their people. We will provide holiday hampers of pet food, treats, toys, bedding, and other pet supplies at Our Place. Donations from the public are needed.

Donations accepted:
Cat and dog food, treats, and toys - no open or expired food products please
Pet bedding - new or gently used pet beds, towels, blankets, etc.
New or gently used collars, leashes, harnesses, dog coats, etc.
New or gently used human clothing
Non-perishable food items for the Our Place pantry

Pet Photos with Santa

This year our "Pet Photos with Santa Claws" fundraiser was a huge success! More than 257 families came out to have their pets' photos taken with Santa! Our volunteers had a lot of fun and we successfully raised nearly $1300 to help provide medical care for homeless pets.

Adoption Fair Nov 12th-14th

PetSmart®, PetSmart Charities® and Hill's® Science Diet Brand® are presenting the "Holiday Adoption Weekend", Fall National Adoption Event, and VPAS will be there. The three-day adoption event takes place Friday-Sunday, November 12th-14th. Please join VPAS & several other local rescue organizations and help some of our deserving pets find great homes in time for the holidays (no one wants to spend their holidays homeless in a shelter!) Which adoptable pets will be putting their best paw forward at the adoption fair to win your heart?

Zander (kitten) will be there all 3 days
